sex positive

I am not a sex therapist but I am sex positive! What does that mean exactly?

Sex and sexuality are deeply personal and can sometimes feel confusing or difficult to talk about, especially if you’ve grown up in an environment where these topics were taboo. You might worry about being judged or feel like you have to explain your experiences to be understood. That’s why choosing a sexuality-affirmative therapist is so important. It means having a safe, respectful space to explore your identity, desires, and relationships without shame or assumptions.

Sex-positive therapy embraces a wide spectrum of consensual sexual expressions and relationship styles, including consensual non-monogamy (such as polyamory, open relationships, and swinging), BDSM, kink, fetishes, crossdressing, and power dynamic relationships like D/s or M/s. I also support those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, celibate, trans, non-binary, or gender variant.

Many people face stigma or misunderstanding around their sexual identities or professions, especially those involved in the sex industry. I have experience working with sex workers and offer informed, non-judgmental therapy that respects your whole self and your unique journey. Sex work is work, and you deserve support that honors your experiences with empathy and care.

There are also an increasing number of addictions related to sex, such as compulsive use of pornography, masturbation, OnlyFans, fetishes, seeing escorts, dominatrix services, or excessive use of dating apps. While I’m not an addictions specialist, I welcome anyone struggling in this area. Often, addictive behaviors are coping mechanisms for deeper-rooted issues, and I’m here to explore these with you. If needed, I can also refer you to a specialist who may be better suited to support your specific needs.

SEX WORK IS WORK

I provide informed, high-quality therapy that respects your profession and personal experiences without making assumptions. I am here to support you in navigating your experience with empathy and respect.
